Teacher

(Written in about 2016)

Today is the start of the exams season here in Germany. Klaus’s students are taking their “Abitur” which is similar to “A” Levels in UK, and is vitally important to their future careers.

Although he has a free morning, Klaus has gone in to school for 7.30 a.m. (they start early here), in order to give some moral support and to calm a few nerves. He will also put a little chocolate ladybird, (which is symbol of good luck) on each desk.

Now that’s what I call a teacher. He’s been doing it for thirty five years but he can still behave like this. No wonder his students love him

(Colleagues will note – he never had a tidy desk, even in the early days)
